Thank you for taking some of your precious time to take a look at Church on the Hill, UCC. A little bit about me; Born in Hawaii, grew up in a Chicago suburb, I graduated from the University of Iowa, which means I’m a Hawkeye, and then from the Chicago Theological Seminary. I came here from the Chicago area in 1996. I am married to Marit Hasmats, who is originally from Sweden but has lived in the US since 1990. We have five wonderful children, Courtney, Cameron, Linnea, Lucas, and Elise, the last two being twins, a nice surprise and incredible blessing.

I am so proud to be the pastor of a church that is simply the kindest and most gracious place i have ever been a part of. When Marit and I are not working or taking care of the children, we try to get out to golf or exercise, including biking, yoga and swimming, hang out with friends, go to movies or musicals, try to find a new restaurant, or read.

But enough about me, stop in some day so we can get a acquainted. I guarantee it will be worth your while.
