This Sunday will be our Remembrance service.
Once again there will be a time after Communion to remember, pray, and celebrate the life of a loved one(s) who has died. After a beautiful litany of scriptural passages proclaiming our faith in life eternal, you will be invited to come forward, name out loud those you are remembering, and light a candle for each person or one candle for all. It is a very moving service because remembering is a very important act of the heart and soul.
I invite you to make this Sunday a must-do worship Sunday. It’s Communion Sunday as well as Remembrance Sunday, when most of us will come forward to light a candle so we can remember and give thanks to God for our loved ones no longer with us in body.
